There were no awards presented in 2017 as we reviewed the program and the opportunity. We have determined the continued opportunity for recognizing businesses on the west side of Winnipeg and have revised our program to include all businesses in the Assiniboia Chamber service territory, with new categories, reserving one category for chamber business members. Our 2018 Business Excellence Awards will reflect this new open nomination and award process.

Nominations are encouraged by the community in general, the public as well as businesses. Self nomination is encouraged, there will be a request to submit a brief outline of how the nominee fulfills the objectives of the award that will be presented to a review panel for consideration and scoring. Awards will be presented at the Assiniboia Chamber of Comemrce AGM in May 2018.

"Lifetime Achievement"  - George Steciuk of GNG Nutritionals.

"Long Time Active Member" was Jim Forestell with the Charleswood Rotary.

"Spirit of Achievement" presented to Belinda Bigold of High Tea Bakery.
